Some Customer reviews for the Schwinn 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack
You have to assemble it correctly! – For the price you can not beat this rack. Holds 4 bikes (including a 20″ kids with a small funky frame). The arms fold down and the rack tilts in order to open your trunk or hatch. I installed this on a Mazda CX-9 in less then a 1/2 hour. I am using a 2″ hitch and have no wobble whatsoever. To do this, you put the nut inside the “hitch-tite” insert, put that insert in the steel tube that goes into your hitch. Fit the adapter block so that it is on the opposite side that you are inserting the bolt through (just like the picture!). Put it all in your hitch and tighten this up with a ratchet. Insert clevis pin on end and you are set. Rock solid with no wobble or wiggle. If you put the bolt in through the adapter side first (which is wrong) no matter how much you tighten the bolt it will wobble all over the place. You HAVE to do it like the picture shows you. Any other way will not work..
Good, solid inexpensive rack – As long as the rack is properly assembled (which is easy to do) and attached to the hitch with a wrench, as instructed, the rack is solid and holds the bikes well. For the price (I got it for $99 at Dunham’s), it is surprisingly solid and well-made. I definitely recommend it.
