M-Wave 3-Piece Traveller Pannier Customer Reviews:
Great buy, – I’m very happy with these saddle bags. The two that hang on ether side of the rear tire have plenty of room. They do have tapered side’s toward the front of the bike. This keeps you from kicking the bag as you peddle. The top bag has simple click an lock clips. It also comes with a shoulder strap, to carry around by.
The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of instructions on placing the bag inserts. The wider one’s go in the saddle bags. The other are for the top bag. It is easiest if you bow the inserts away for the side of the bags. Then insert the ends into the pockets inside the bag. After both ends are in place, just push the bow to the side of the bag.
Plenty of Space and easy to install – I used this 3-piece pannier on a trip along the Pacific Coast of California and they worked great! The trip was over 900 miles and took about two weeks to complete. I also purchased the waterproof cover and although I didn’t run into much weather on this trip, it was easy to put on, fit nicely and seemed like it would work well at keeping out moisture.
The bags were a snap to install and remove and they had plenty of room for all my gear. The only difficulty is installing the hard plastic pieces that give the bags some rigidity, but it was well worth the time and trouble installing them.
Perfect, – love these panniers. They have plenty of storage. They are perfect for groceries: I’ve even put 10 lt. squared water boxes on each side and they fit perfectly. They are designed for the old racks system (not the new racks with rail) but they have locks you may use to fit them to any rack system. They are surprisingly light and keeps groceries cool in the inside. They are easily assembled/disassembled. I used them in a schwinn Gateway and using right now in a Marin Bridgeway. I had loaded the panniers with up to 60 lbs of groceries and they worked just fine. This is a great product and I would recommend it to all my friends that would need one.
Wow. A lot of design/engineering detail for the money – I haven’t used it yet. The only potential downside I see is the quality of materials, strength of stitching. I foresee that it may wear out.
As mentioned in an answer to a question, the side bags are one piece (permanently connected by the center piece which hangs on the rear rack). They have a carry handle on top of that center piece.
The top bag is detachable and has a carry handle. It also has D-rings for shoulder (strap) carry. And, it has two padded shoulder straps hidden in a zippered compartment (making it a backpack)
